It is considered one of Britain's most important groups of historic military buildings and the most extensive collection of Grade 1 Listed military buildings in Europe.

Sue's art studio 29 is in the Factory Cooperage, a group of buildings previously built to support the enormous demands on the supply of barrels for the store on board Royal Navy ships.
